Succession Team News - February 2017

Thank you for presence at the Congregational Meeting last Sunday: "Historical Overview, Educational and Spiritual Process."

This was the first in a series of Succession Congregational Meetings. Let us continue to pray as we journey in the midst of this time of challenge and change. Our Pastors, Drs. Dennis and Christine Wiley, will retire October 31, 2017.

Over the next several months, we will focus on our tasks as a congregation as we begin to move toward pastoral transition. Our pastors will participate with us as we claim the dynamic and powerful legacy they will leave as they depart. As a congregation, our tasks are: to come to terms with our history, begin to define our new identity, empower new leaders, renew community/denominational ties and commit to a new future.

Our next Congregational Process Meeting is scheduled for March 19, 2017 at a Church-wide Sunday School Hour.

Thank you for your participation int he congregational survey!

We could not have done it without you. We are grateful to all CBUCC members for your participation in the Congregational Survey. The survey will assist the CBUCC in succession planning.

A summary report of the survey results will be compiled and used to help support planning guidance of the Succession Team. The survey will help us as we form an overall Church Profile-- a picture of who we are as a church family. The summary will be shared with the congregation soon and later will be shared with prospective pastoral candidates.
