If I had to rely on my strength alone, I’d be in trouble! If I had to rely on my intellect alone and my ability to maneuver every obstacle and pothole in my path, I’d be in trouble!
During this period of prayer, reflection, growth, and renewal, we wanted to share a few tips you can embrace throughout the Lenten season and beyond.
Some days it’s great to simply pause and reflect on the little (and big) gifts from God and blessings surrounding us.
TRUST. As you seek to keep your Lenten commitments, I challenge you to trust God.
Who are you when no one else is watching? What kind of person and Christian are you when no one else is watching? What kind of parent, friend, and partner are you when no one else is watching?
How often do I seek God? How often do I seek God after the fact, after something has gone wrong or different than I hoped?
Do you believe it? Do you really really believe it? Do you believe it when it doesn’t look like it’s going to happen? Do you believe it when no one else around you believes it? Do you believe it even though it seems impossible?
Forty things to give up for lent!
Christians around the world mark the beginning of Lent with the celebration of Ash Wednesday. This ancient day and season has a surprising modern appeal.
What about you? For what are you believing God? Children? Employment? Retirement? New business venture? Finances? Joy? Peace? Healing? Increased faith? Keeping your Lenten commitments? Believing God isn’t easy, but worth it.
